PDF & Print Pro: WordPress PDFs and print views
Turn WordPress content into documents
PDF & Print Pro lets visitors create PDF files or print views from pages, posts, widgets, search results, archives, and custom post types. Add buttons in content or widget areas, with a shortcode or Gutenberg block. Choose their position and whether they use an image, text, or both.
Set the document layout
Choose PDF size, portrait or landscape orientation, margins, and styles. Include a title and featured image, with a configurable image size. Set the PDF button to download the file or open it in a new window.
Pro adds text or image watermarks with opacity controls, plus an option to prevent copying of PDF content. Custom first and last pages can contain images, text, or HTML. Header and footer templates can include images, text, the creation date, source page URL, post date, page numbers and total page counts for PDFs, and the post author on single posts or pages.
Add fields and store content
Use Advanced Custom Fields, custom fields, and custom data in documents, placing them before or after the main content. WooCommerce compatibility extends document generation to store content. Shortcodes can display featured images and PDF or print generation counts. Other options include running title margins, a custom PDF file name, a dynamic URI for PDF documents, and sending PDFs by email.
Choose where buttons appear
- Show buttons to selected user roles or disable them for specific pages, post types, users, or roles.
- Set custom button images and placement.
- Display generation counts in the admin posts table.
- Configure subsites across a network.
You can also add custom code in the plugin settings and exclude document links from search engine indexing. The plugin is RTL ready.
Configure the workflow
Install and activate PDF & Print Pro in WordPress, then use its settings to choose button placement, eligible content types, document fields, layout, and output behavior. Add any needed watermarks, headers, footers, custom data, or WooCommerce content, then check PDF generation and printing on the types of content you plan to use.
