Timeline Pro: Gutenberg Blocks for Interactive Timelines
Timeline Pro adds visual timeline tools to WordPress posts, pages, and widgets. Use its blocks to organize events, milestones, journeys, and other dated content into layouts visitors can follow.
Create timelines in the Block Editor
Add the Gutenberg Timeline block to a post or page, enter your content, and adjust the available layout and styling options. The Pro edition includes nine extra themes, including dual-orientation themes, with vertical and horizontal layouts. You can customize timeline icons, animate items, and format descriptions with Classic Editor and rich text support.
Build from existing posts
The Dynamic Post Timeline block creates timelines from any custom post type. Filter the content by taxonomy, terms, or author to shape which posts appear.
Choose a block for the content
- Accordion Timeline: Group steps in collapsible sections with custom status markers and interactive toggles.
- Company History Timeline: Present an interactive year card with a clickable year rail and auto-slide navigation.
- Career Timeline and Media Story Timeline: Organize professional progression or media stories.
- Event Schedule: Lay out dated sessions, meetings, workshops, or agendas.
- Roadmap Timeline: Show project stages, product releases, or plans.
- Year Navigator: Arrange timeline content by year.
These blocks can also support company milestones, education and career histories, product evolution, portfolio stages, lessons, course chapters, and academic milestones.
Add a timeline to a page
- Install and activate Timeline Pro.
- Open a post or page in the WordPress Block Editor.
- Select the plus button, search for Timeline, and add the Timeline block.
- Enter your content, adjust the available layout and styling, then publish or update the page.
You can also create a timeline from the Timeline area, configure its settings, copy its generated shortcode, and paste it into a post, page, or widget.
