Set the sequence and its format
Sequential Order Numbers Pro for WooCommerce lets a store choose where its order-number sequence begins and add identifying text around each number. For example, a format can look like WT101UK, WT102UK, and so on.
Existing orders determine the starting point
Choose a starting number higher than the highest current order number. The numbering logic takes existing orders into account, so review the order history before setting the sequence.
If test orders should not affect a sequence intended to begin at a particular number, move them to the trash and permanently delete them. Trashed orders continue to count in case they are restored.
Prefixes and suffixes shape the number
- A prefix adds identifying text before the sequential number.
- A suffix adds text after the number.
- Use either option or combine both in a custom format.
These markers can help teams recognize order numbers in store communications and internal workflows.
Use the WooCommerce order number in connected code
Developers and connected extensions should use the WooCommerce order number when storing or displaying order data. An extension can filter that number.
Requirements and setup
Install and activate the plugin, review existing orders, then set the desired starting number, prefix, and suffix. Place or review an order after saving to confirm that its displayed number follows the intended sequence and format.
