Germanized extends WooCommerce with functions for adapting product pages, checkout, emails, documents, tax information, and shipping workflows to German-market requirements. Pro adds document tools, food-related product details, selected shipping integrations, and professional ticket support.
Which product and checkout details can you display?
Add delivery times to products, optionally by country, and set a default as a fallback. Delivery times can be disabled for certain product types. Products can show base prices per unit, with automatic unit-price calculation in Pro. Shipping cost and tax notices can appear beneath product prices and in the cart, checkout, and emails. Shops using the small business regulation can display related notices, and short cart descriptions provide additional product information in the cart and checkout.
Checkout settings include agreement checkboxes for terms, withdrawal information, privacy policies, and other conditions, along with controls for their presentation. Germanized adapts the checkout and submit button for the German button solution. A withdrawal button lets customers send withdrawal requests through a form, and EU harmonised guarantee notices can be displayed. Double opt-in tools can confirm customer registration before checkout is enabled.
How Pro handles invoices and legal documents
Pro can create invoices, packing slips, cancellation documents, and commercial invoices for shipments, automatically or manually. A visual editor lets you adjust document layouts. Export documents as CSV or ZIP files for a tax consultant, or transmit them through integrations with lexware office or sevdesk. The plugin also supports e-invoices.
Attach legal pages, such as terms and conditions, to selected WooCommerce emails as PDFs. Pro can generate those PDFs from page content. Model text generators for terms and withdrawal pages are also included. Other Pro checkout tools include VAT ID validation using the EU API, a multistep checkout for classic and block-based checkout, and the option to delay contract conclusion while an order is reviewed.
Food, VAT, and shipping tools
Pro food features add fields for nutrients, ingredients, and allergens, as well as deposit-bottle information and the Nutri-Score. One Stop Shop features include VAT reports for different time frames and delivery-threshold monitoring with notifications when action may be needed.
Carrier integrations include Deutsche Post, DHL, and UPS, with DPD, GLS, and Hermes integrations identified as Pro. Depending on the provider and configuration, the shipping tools can create shipment and return labels, add tracking information to notification emails, and offer delivery choices such as pickup locations.
