FiboSearch Pro WooCommerce AJAX Product Search
Live product search with an inverted index
FiboSearch Pro is the paid edition of FiboSearch for WooCommerce. It adds an as-you-type AJAX search bar that connects product discovery with live suggestions. Its inverted-index search engine is described as working very fast, including with catalogs of more than 100,000 products. Fuzzy matching can return relevant results when a query contains minor typos.
Search across products and store content
Search can cover product titles, long and short descriptions, SKUs, attributes, categories, tags, and supported brands. Brand search supports WooCommerce Brands, Perfect Brands for WooCommerce, Brands for WooCommerce, and YITH WooCommerce Brands, including brand thumbnails. Category thumbnails are supported too.
The Pro edition can search custom fields, with dedicated support for ACF. It can find products through variation SKUs and show a variable product in live results when a visitor enters its exact matching SKU. Matching posts and pages can also appear alongside products. Synonyms connect related search terms, and selected products can be excluded conditionally.
Suggestions, details, and placement
Live suggestions can show product images, prices, descriptions, and SKUs. Results can be grouped by type, such as showing matching categories before products. When a visitor hovers over a suggestion, a details panel can display extended product information and an add-to-cart button with a quantity field.
Add the search bar to a theme as a shortcode, menu item, widget, or block. The appearance is customizable, including labels, colors, the preloader, images, and other autocomplete elements. FiboSearch Pro also includes professional help with embedding or replacing the search bar in a theme.
Search settings and store compatibility
As visitors type, FiboSearch displays live suggestions from the configured search scope. Pressing Enter opens the WooCommerce search results page with the same results shown in the FiboSearch bar. Settings include the result limit and minimum number of characters required before suggestions appear. A special mobile search mode is available, and the plugin supports Google Analytics and multilingual setups, including WPML, Polylang, qTranslate-XT, and TranslatePress.
Installation
Install and activate FiboSearch Pro in WordPress, then open WooCommerce → FiboSearch to set the available options. Place the search bar in your theme using a shortcode, menu item, widget, or block. Configure its search scope, result limits, minimum character requirement, and appearance.
