Ultimate Cursor adds custom mouse pointers and animated backgrounds to WordPress sites. Ultimate Cursor Pro is a separate add-on for sites that need more control over how those effects look and where they appear. The dashboard includes a live preview, and basic setup requires no coding.
Pro controls for cursors and hover effects
Interactive Hover makes the cursor respond to links, buttons, and form fields. It can grow, change color, glow, move toward the element’s center, or show a contextual label such as Open, Play, or Type. You can adjust blend modes and target your own CSS selectors.
Pro supports multiple cursor configurations, each with its own style and targeting. Apply a cursor across the site or limit it to selected pages, CSS selectors, or HTML elements. The free plugin applies one cursor configuration sitewide.

Pro adds Antigravity motion controls, including field strength, wave, pulse, and rotation, plus Light Pillar controls for intensity, glow, noise, mouse interaction, blend mode, and quality. Install Ultimate Cursor in WordPress, choose a cursor or background effect in its dashboard, adjust the settings in the live preview, and save. Use the Pro add-on for its additional controls and targeting. Cursor and background effects can run together.
The plugin works with properly coded WordPress themes and pages built with Gutenberg, Elementor, WPBakery, and Divi. The custom cursor is hidden on touch devices, while background effects remain responsive. Cursor and hover animations respect reduced-motion preferences. Scripts load when their effects are enabled, and background effect scripts are not downloaded when reduced motion is requested.
