Spotlight Essentials: Instagram Feed Layouts for WordPress

Spotlight Essentials adds design tools and Instagram Stories to the Spotlight feed plugin for WordPress. Create multiple feeds, combine posts from connected accounts, and place feeds on pages, posts, or widget areas with a block, shortcode, or widget.

Essentials layouts and media

Essentials includes the free features, every template and layout, all customization options, and a dedicated Elementor widget. Start with a template or arrange a custom design. Set columns, post count, image ratio, spacing, and other design details in a live preview, with separate settings for desktop, tablet, and phone. Feeds can inherit your site’s fonts, and posts can be ordered by date, popularity, or at random.

Feeds can display photos, videos, reels, and carousel posts. The lightbox opens larger photos and plays videos and reels. Feed headers can show an account avatar and bio, and the Follow and Load more button text can be restyled or translated.

PRO adds content controls and shopping

Spotlight PRO includes Essentials and adds public hashtag feeds, posts that tag your account, and feeds combining account, hashtag, and tagged sources. Filter posts by caption keywords or hashtags, or use moderation to choose which posts to show or hide. Link in bio pages direct visitors from Instagram to a page on your site.

For online stores, PRO lets you link Instagram posts to WooCommerce products, pages, or other URLs, creating a shoppable feed.

Agency adds analytics and media management

Spotlight Agency includes the Free, Essentials, and PRO features. It adds Instagram account and post insights, feed engagement and promotion analytics, Google Analytics integration, and tools to manage image and video quality and storage. The plan includes licenses for up to 20 sites.

Set up and publish a feed

  1. Install and activate Spotlight in WordPress.
  2. Choose a feed layout or create a custom design.
  3. Connect an Instagram Business or Creator account. Personal accounts are not supported for third-party feeds. Agencies and developers can use the Spotlight Access Token Generator so clients can provide access without sharing their Instagram password.
  4. Configure the layout, content sources, filters, moderation, or commerce settings available with your plan.
  5. Add the feed with a block, shortcode, widget, or the dedicated Elementor widget included with Essentials.

Spotlight updates website feeds as new Instagram content is posted. Documentation and free forum support are available, with premium and pre-sales support by email.
