Premmerce Permalink Manager for WooCommerce Premium provides a dedicated interface for configuring product and product category permalinks. Product URLs can use the product slug alone, combine it with the main category slug, or include the category hierarchy. You can select a main category for product URL generation.
For product categories, choose between using the category slug alone and including the category hierarchy.

Canonicals, product tags, and redirects
The main plugin adds a rel=canonical attribute to duplicate pages and tags similar URLs as canonical. With Yoast SEO installed, it does not generate duplicate links.
The Premium edition adds the option to remove the base from product tag URLs and automatically add 301 redirects for duplicate pages. These redirects can support navigation when a duplicate page address is encountered.
Compatibility and tested behavior
The plugin works with base WooCommerce functionality, Yoast SEO, and Premmerce plugins. It has also been tested for compatibility with the main WooCommerce plugins.
Testing with the basic WooCommerce setup and standard Storefront theme included stores with more than 100,000 products. No influence on response rate was noticed in that setup. The plugin is also demonstrated with the Storefront and SalesZone themes.
Set up permalink patterns
- Install and activate Premmerce Permalink Manager for WooCommerce Premium.
- Open the dedicated permalink interface for the store.
- Choose the product and product category URL structures.
- Select a main category for product URL generation where needed.
- Enable the Premium option to remove the product tag base and use automatic 301 redirects for duplicate pages.
- Review the resulting navigation and SEO-related URL behavior.
