MapGeo Pro is the paid edition of MapGeo for creating responsive, touch-enabled SVG maps in WordPress. Use geographic regions, markers, labels, and interactive actions to present travel routes, office locations, projects, representatives, statistics, or other mapped data.
Choose a map and geographic areas
Select from more than 250 vector maps covering the world, continents, regions, countries, US counties, and county maps for Mexico and Canada. Some locations have alternative maps divided into areas such as regions, departments, districts, or municipalities. Create as many maps as you need, choose which areas to display, and exclude specific regions.
Choose a projection such as Mercator, Miller, or NaturalEarth1. Set the initial map center and zoom, then adjust the view with the available zoom controls and advanced zoom options.
Present locations and regional data
- Set colors for individual regions and markers.
- Use custom images, vector icons, or text labels as markers, and cluster markers for nearby locations.
- Add legends to explain mapped colors, markers, or data, and group regions into visual units.
- Create heatmaps, also called choropleth maps, to color regions according to data.
- Connect markers with lines to show routes or other relationships.
- Overlay maps, such as a US states map on a world map.
- Populate a map automatically from existing WordPress categories or tags.
Configure map interactions
Set regions to change color on hover and display HTML tooltips. Configure click actions to open a new window or show additional content outside the map or in a lightbox.
Create and add a map to a page
Choose a vector map, select the areas to include, then add colors, markers, labels, and interactions. Refine the presentation with its projection, center, zoom, legends, or grouped regions. For data-focused maps, combine regional coloring, connected markers, and overlays as needed. Add the finished map to a WordPress page through your content workflow.
Maps are embedded in HTML5 pages as responsive, touch-enabled SVG content designed for modern browsers and devices. The plugin uses an external visualization library and loads some files from its CDN. An account for that library or a Google Maps API key is not required to display maps. A Google Maps API key can optionally enable geocoding in the administration area when adding markers.
During installation, you can optionally share non-sensitive WordPress installation data with Freemius. The plugin continues to work if you decline.
