Manage WordPress code blocks
CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS lets you write and organize CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and HTML in a shared dashboard. Each code block pairs an editor with a location editor, so you can choose which WordPress requests should run it. Use CSS to style selected pages, PHP to add functionality, or JavaScript to make a page interactive. Blocks can also hold third-party scripts such as analytics or chat widgets.
Assign code to locations
The assignment panel supports pages, posts, custom posts, and categories. You can select multiple locations and assign more than one block to the same items. The listed assignment options also include broad areas such as the entire website, the backend, all pages or posts, recent posts, the blog index, search pages, archives, author archives, attachment pages, and 404 pages. PLUS features include placement options for broad areas, code added through shortcodes, widgets, or Gutenberg blocks, and assignments using tags, URLs, or regular expressions.
Assignment tabs depend on installation history. Version 11.4 removed the Auxiliary and Advanced tabs for new installations; existing installations with active code blocks retain them.
Tools for code libraries
PLUS includes code and script library management, eight additional hooks for more precise placement, and an invert option that runs code everywhere except the locations selected for exclusion. Editor tools include autocomplete and options to beautify or minify code. Revisions help manage earlier block versions, while backup and export or import options help preserve or move a code library. The product is described as optimized for hundreds of code blocks and thousands of locations.
Create and save a block
Create a code block, choose its type, then enter the CSS, JavaScript, PHP, or HTML in the editor. Use the assignment panel to select where it should run, review the locations, and save the block. Manage additional blocks from the shared code and script library.
