Alt Magic Pro for WordPress Image Workflows
Alt text from image and page context
Alt Magic Pro uses a cloud-based AI service to analyze image content and surrounding post context, then generate descriptive alt text. You can use it for new uploads or images already in the WordPress media library, and edit the generated text before or after applying it.
Choose a single-image or bulk workflow
Generate text for an individual image, process existing media in bulk, or use CSV uploads for batch work. The service reports processing speeds above 10,000 images per hour for high-volume workflows. It includes 50 free monthly credits, which can be used for alt text generation and image renaming; additional volume is available.
Alt Magic Pro supports WooCommerce product image workflows and can use product information when generating contextual descriptions. It also supports output in more than 150 languages for multilingual sites and stores.
Manage related image details
Where supported, the plugin can generate captions, titles, and descriptions as well as alt text. Optional AI image renaming creates descriptive filenames for existing images and new uploads. Processed image history lets you view, edit, manage, or regenerate earlier results.
The plugin works with Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, Squirrly SEO, and AIOSEO. Alt Magic Pro also has a web app interface. It can scan Brilliant Directories pages, but you must upload the generated text to those images manually.
Service requirements and data
Alt Magic Pro requires an Alt Magic account, an API key, and an active internet connection. Image files or image URLs are sent to the cloud service for processing; basic plugin usage events are also transmitted for service improvement. AI processing does not happen locally in WordPress.
