My Calendar Pro for Shared WordPress Event Workflows
Collect events from site visitors
My Calendar Pro extends the My Calendar event manager with tools for sites that gather events from more than administrators. Visitors can submit events for free or through a pay-to-post workflow. Administrators can customize the form fields and review submissions before publication, so sending an event does not automatically make it public. Logged-in users can edit their own events from the front end.
Connect events with published posts
Create an event when publishing a blog post, or publish a blog post when creating an event. A custom field creator lets administrators add event fields for the information their workflow needs.
Search, import, and share event data
- Advanced event search can narrow results by dates, categories, authors, and more.
- Import events from ICS or CSV files, or from a URL.
- Share events between multiple sites through REST API support.
- Fetch events from a remote database for sharing across a site network.
- Manage events across WordPress Multisite.
These options support community calendars that collect member listings, publishers that link events with articles, and networks of sites that use shared event data.
Works within the My Calendar event manager
Install and activate My Calendar before adding the Pro extension to the same WordPress site. My Calendar provides calendar views, recurring events, categories, locations, venues, and display customization. It is built with accessibility in mind and includes settings to describe accessibility features at events and physical venues. Its event views are responsive, and it supports JSON-LD structured data for events and venues, plus iCal or Google Calendar export and subscriptions.
After activating My Calendar Pro, configure its submission, custom field, search, import, and sharing features for your event workflow. The plugin includes developer actions and filters, and translations can be supported through WordPress Translations.
