Advanced WooCommerce Analytics Pro extends WooCommerce tracking through Google Analytics. It uses the gtag.js script and connects to the Google Analytics account and property selected for the store. Tracking Settings let administrators choose which events to record. The plugin supports WooCommerce product variations.
The plugin can also connect to Facebook Pixel for event and conversion measurement and to Google Ads for purchase conversion tracking. If another plugin records general page views, page-view tracking can be disabled here to avoid duplicate tracking.
Track store activity
- Product events and impressions, including activity associated with product variations.
- Events related to checkout, cart behavior and purchases.
- Coupon performance and associated events.
- Refund events, which are listed as a Pro feature.
The plugin lists support for more than 30 WooCommerce events. Tracking Settings control which events are enabled.
Review store and visitor reports
Reports cover acquisition channels, traffic sources and referrals, along with user behavior, technology, demographics, engagement and retention. Technology reports include devices, browsers and screen resolutions. Demographic reports can include location, gender, age and language information.
Additional reporting covers Google Ads and AdSense, search queries, organic traffic and enhanced ecommerce activity. The plugin also provides Google Analytics reports in the WordPress dashboard and compares data with historical periods. Some enhanced ecommerce reports require the Pro version.
Connect and configure tracking
- Install and activate the plugin in WordPress.
- Open the admin menu item named Advanced WC Analytics.
- Connect a Google Analytics account and select the property for the store.
- Choose the events and privacy controls to use in Tracking Settings.
- Review the resulting reports in Google Analytics or the WordPress dashboard.
Configure privacy controls
Available controls include user ID tracking, IP address anonymization, disabling admin tracking, and disabling demographics and interest reporting. The plugin also lists Google Consent Mode support. These settings help administrators manage data collection, but the plugin alone does not guarantee GDPR compliance.
